跆拳道是朝鮮族的國技，跆為運用腳來進行攻擊、防守及馬步等技術，拳為運用手來進行的攻擊及防守等技術，道為練武者對武術的心靈修養及修正。跆拳道既是一項能夠強身健體，又能夠於防身自衞的傳統搏擊武術，更是一項新興的集健身、競技及娛樂為一體的現代體育，集力學、兵學、哲學、醫學及倫理學為一體，以技擊挌鬥為基礎，以修心養性為核心，以磨練人的意志、振奮人的內在精神氣質、培訓練習者良好的禮儀及道德為目標。

跆拳道
跆拳道（韓語：태권도）是一種主要使用手及腳以進行格鬥或對抗的運動。跆拳道於1988年奧運會時為示範項目；於1992年的巴塞隆拿奧運會開始為試驗比賽項目；到2000年的悉尼奧運會成為正式比賽項目。
